Currently, Boomtown Casino employs 700 people from all over the area. Pinnacle Entertainment’s presence in Jefferson Parish has played a large role in the economic growth of the region. The Lemoine Company, a Louisiana-based company, will be the general contractor on the project. It’s expected to take about 13 months to complete. Construction is slated to begin within 60 days. The hotel addition will create approximately 50 new permanent jobs, once completed, and more than 150 construction jobs.
